MCC & TSTC Collegiate Ministries

The MCC & TSTC Collegiate Ministries are branches of the WRBA. We work to assist our member churches in actively and effectively engaging with McLennan Community College (MCC) students and Texas State Technical College (TSTC) students. The combined enrollment for MCC & TSTC is approximately 20,000 students; roughly the same number of students enrolled in Baylor University. Unlike Baylor, neither MCC nor TSTC have multiple ministry options available. The focus of WRBA’s MCC & TSTC Collegiate Ministries is to remedy that by reaching students for Christ on campus. Among the activities that will help us realize our vision of connecting churches to campuses are:

Bible Studies
Collegiate Ministry works with students, faculty and churches to develop Bible studies through MCC/TSTC student organizations.

Missions
WRBA MCC & TSTC Collegiate Ministries provides numerous opportunities for students to be involved and impact their school and community.

Worship
All glory is given to God, and for that we worship Him as a community with the help of our local churches and community ministries.

 
Connections
Collegiate Ministry focuses on making lasting connections between the local churches and college students to equip and enlarge the kingdom of God.

 

How can you help?

PRAY – First and foremost, we need prayer for the professors, staff members and students at both campuses to be able to open their lives and be receptive to the Gospel. We also pray for workers for the “the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few” (Mathew 9:37).

PARTICIPATE – If you are part of a Church that has an active College Ministry and would like to participate with MCC and/or TSTC OR would like to be part of these students’ spiritual lives by becoming a mentor or participating in other events, contact us so that we can connect with you.
This requires a minimum time commitment of six (6) hours per semester for mentoring and/or 3 events per semester.

DONATE – If you would like to help the WRBA MCC or TSTC College Ministries support other churches through funding and grants, you may make a donation by sending a check (made out to WRBA – with the note “MCC College Ministry” OR “TSTC College Ministry”) to the WRBA Office P.O. Box 1848, Waco, TX 76703.
